The prompt for the weekly photo challenge was serene. I almost posted a summer photo, but then decided that nothing says serenity like a snow day. There’s nothing like waking up in the morning to a fresh blanket of snow and the news that you don’t have to go to work. I love sipping my coffee and watching the local coverage of the snow before I eventually go about the task of shoveling us out.

Oof. Glad you’re enjoying it – personally, and I know most people wouldn’t, I’d rather be in 29 Palms in July. Having had the delightful experience of sleeping in the snow in cold weather training three times, I’d prefer never to see it again except through a window (although it will almost certainly snow here early next year despite my clearly stated instructions otherwise.)

That’s actually from last year. No snow yet, though there are rumors of some flakes next week. I prefer spring myself, but I do enjoy how a snow day makes us all slow down.
