It is 10pm on my last day of vacation.
For the last week I have ignored work.
For the last week I have looked at social media, but I unfollowed most people so I only saw a select few posts.
For the last week I have hiked, found interesting sites in the middle of nowhere and spent time in the pool.
For the last week I have spent time with the only people who actually care about me.
It’s all over.
Tomorrow I go back to the job that is slowly killing me.
Tomorrow I go back to the real world.
I have never been a fan of the real world. I hate it even more now.
I enjoyed seeing some of your discoveries. You can continue to avoid social media, but I hope you’ll return to writing semi-regularly. I decided last night that it’s time to quit one of my stitching groups, one that I started in my shop, so it’s been going since 2006 probably. I just can’t with the political discussions that inevitably creep in. It’s supposed to be my escape from the real world.
