Tonight we get the return of the CBS lineup tailored to old people like me who stay home and watch TV on Friday night. Here is the full lineup.
ABC
8pm – The Most Magical Story on Earth: 50 Years of Walt Disney World – Hosted by Whoopi Goldberg, a celebration of Disney World. Some of my favorite family vacations were to Disney.
10pm – 20/20
CBS
8pm – SWAT – SWAT moves from midweek to open the “shows for old people” lineup.
9pm – Magnum PI – My wife likes this one more than me, but I still enjoy it. I wish they had Rick and TC more involved in the cases in this one instead of it being all about Magnum and Higgins and their will they/won’t they relationship.
10pm – Blue Bloods – My favorite of the Friday night shows. For some reason, this is the one “old people” show my wife does not watch.
CW
8pm – Penn & Teller: Fool Us
9pm – Dynasty
FOX
8pm – WWE Friday Night Smackdown – I’ve seen bits of this because it is on the same channel as Jeopardy. The TV is still on the channel while we watch the DVR so this is on while I wait for others to get dessert, go to the bathroom, etc. between shows. It looks really bad and overacted compared to what I remember.
NBC
8pm – Repeat of Ordinary Joe
9pm – Dateline
Various Non-Streaming Options
Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives on Food Network at 9.
Selling the Big Easy on HGTV at 9 and 9:30.
You know, I didn’t think of SWAT as an oldie show…but you’re right

I didn’t either until I looked at it as part of the Friday night lineup and realized it fit
