Tater’s Week in Review 5/25/24

Welcome to another Saturday edition of the week in review. I considered not writing one this week since I didn’t finish a book or watch a movie. It was a busy week otherwise.

Life

Monday was likely my last day at the school for the year. I subbed for my normal English classes. The research methods classes were doing presentations of their research papers. It was nice to see some of the end results of the work they did while I was there for earlier classes.

Monday night we went on a tour of the West Wing at the White House.

Tuesday morning we did the public tour of the White House.

Tuesday afternoon was my daughter’s commencement for her Masters in Libray and Information Science.

Wednesday we got to bowl in the Truman Bowling Alley at the Eisenhower Office Building.

My mother-in-law was here for those three days, so we also had the extra stress of having someone else stay at our house.

My daughter left yesterday to visit a friend in NYC for the weekend so we went from an extra person in the house to one less person in the house than normal.

Television

The Survivor finale aired this week. I was happy with the winner. I would have also been happy with a Charlie win. I can’t believe Maria didn’t vote for Charlie after then being close allies the entire game. It was a good season with a great cast.

I watched this week’s episodes of Station 19 and Grey’s Anatomy. Station 19 is so much better than Grey’s at this point. I wish Grey’s was the one ending and Station 19 was continuing.

Walker was canceled at CW.

Wild Cards will return to CW at some point.

The Spencer Sisters will not return for a second season at CW.

Books

It was way too busy to read much this week. I’m still reading How to Solve Your Own Murder by Kristen Perrin. I like what I’ve read so far, but I also find it easy to put down and not pick up again. I don’t know if that is a me thing or the book.

On Deck

Beat Shazam returns this week and Jamie Foxx returns after his health issues. My daughter and I love to watch this even though we are not great at most categories.

America’s Got Talent returns as well. I don’t know if we will even watch the auditions this year.

This will likely be my first week of no school. I’m going to have to learn how to fill my time again.

I am still reading How to Solve Your Own Murder.
