I woke up to the news that a new Doctor has been announced. I have been disappointed in both Capaldi and Whittaker, but I think that might be due more to the showrunner than the actor.
I have not watched Sex Education, but people who do seem to be excited about this. I hope combining Russell T Davies as the show runner and Gatwa as the Doctor will get the show back to what I loved.

I’m not a Whovian, just never got into it at all. I watched a couple with Jodie Whittaker, more in female solidarity than anything else, but was disappointed with the quality of characterisation and writing. I suspect the return of Russell T Davies may be as important, but I do think the selection of a POC to play the role is a positive step. Never seen Sex Education either I’m afraid, so can’t comment on his previous roles, but fingers crossed.

I got hooked when my daughter started watching and I was in the room during the Matt Smith era. I’ve done back and watched David Tennant as well. I hope they can get it back go that level.
