It is one of those days when I don’t have any topic in my brain that warrants a full post. So, here are a few random things in my head this morning.
Followers
I still have not reached 1000 followers on WordPress. I’m up to 32 on Medium. I have a little over 100 followers on the blog’s Facebook page. I have a little over 400 Twitter followers. A young woman down the street from me has 1.7 million followers on Tik Tok and over 400K followers on Instagram. Maybe the next time I run into her on my walk I should convince her to promote my blog on Tik Tok. I’m sure the 1 million people who follow a model and influencer would love to follow the blog of an old man.
Jeopardy
Matt Amodio’s run on Jeopardy is over and now we have a new champion on a six-day run. When Matt was winning, Jeopardy Twitter was full of people crying about how he kept winning. He was boring. He answered the wrong way. They hated him and wanted the show to change the rules to limit winnings. I thought they just hated Matt. Now people are already crying about the six-day run of the new guy. Turns out they just hate winners.
Too Much TV
An odd sentiment for someone who writes about TV, but my DVR is now 85% full. My wife being out of town means that will get worse. I’m recording and reviewing a new show tonight. Another new show premieres Monday. I’m at the point where I would not be sad if a show I watch but only kind of like got canceled. I could just stop watching a show like that, but I tend to not do that.
The Most Wonderful Time of the Year
This is my favorite time of the year. The weather is nice. It’s football season. Baseball is still on TV. College basketball is starting. Halloween is close and then we start counting down to Thanksgiving and Christmas. I love it.
That is where my head is at this morning.
