No surprise the two shows with a built-in audience from their motherships get the first full-season orders. They aren’t bad shows, but it takes us further down the road where everything on TV will be a reality show or a procedural from the NCIS, FBI, Chicago, Law & Order, or CSI universes.
It’s annoying that we can’t get anything different. Yet…I guess it’s know your audience and sponsors

My daughter and her roommates just got a tv. They didn’t get cable. I guess kids don’t care about network tv

Neither of my kids have cable. My daughter goes to her friend’s on campus apartment with cable included to watch Survivor

The only show my daughter watches on network has been riverdale. She would watch greys with me but she doesn’t miss not watching it
