Tater on TV: What’s on Tonight 10/10/21

EDiT: just noticed I had the date as 8/10/21 for some reason. Oops.

The start of another TV week brings the premieres of several shows. Here is the lineup.

ABC

7pm – America’s Funniest Home Videos – I honestly did not know this was still on.

8pm – Celebrity Wheel of Fortune – Donny Osmond, Jeff Garlin, and Amber Riley play.

9pm – Supermarket Sweep

10pm – The Rookie

CBS

7pm – 60 Minutes

8pm – The Equalizer – Season premiere. My wife watches this one. I try to watch it but have fallen asleep during every episode.

9pm – NCIS: Los Angeles – Season premiere.

10pm – SEAL Team – I’m annoyed that this is on. They are moving it to streaming only on Paramount Plus after 4 seasons on CBS. They are airing the first 4 episodes of the season and then making the rest streaming only. I won’t pay for a new service to keep watching this.

CW

8pm – Legends of the Hidden Temple – I’m unclear on what this is and the ads don’t help clear it up.

9pm – Killer Camp – Based on a British show they aired last year. Contestants live at a camp where someone is “killing” one of them each week. The contestants have to try to figure out who the killer is before they all “die”.

FOX

8pm – The Simpsons

8:30pm – The Great North

9pm – Bob’s Burgers

9:30pm – Family Guy

NBC

8pm – Sunday Night Football – Buffalo Bills at Kansas City Chiefs

Various Non-Streaming Options

Food Network has Halloween Wars at 9 and Outrageous Pumpkins at 10.

HGTV has Renovation, Inc: Home Sweet Home at 8 and Lakefront Bargain Hunt at 10.

Bravo has Real Housewives of Potomac at 8 and Real Housewives of Salt Lake City at 9.

The midseason finale of The Walking Dead is on AMC at 9 followed by The Walking Dead: World Beyond at 10.

Tater’s Thoughts

I will record The Equalizer to sleep through later while my wife watches the show.

I will record Killer Camp to watch with my daughter when she is home.

I am still invested in The Walking Dead universe, though World Beyond does not hold my attention as much as the other two shows. I am enjoying watching Negan and Maggie have to work together on the main show. It’s good TV.

I don’t generally include premium channels in my lineup. I do watch Heels on Starz and John Oliver on HBO on Sunday nights.
