Tater on TV: What’s on Tonight 10/5/21

Tuesday has traditionally been one of my busier TV nights. That has not changed this season. Here’s the lineup.

ABC

8pm – Bachelor in Paradise

CBS

8pm – FBI

9pm – FBI; International

10pm – FBI: Most Wanted

CW

8pm – Stargirl

9pm – Supergirl

FOX

8pm – The Resident – We finally get to the story that will lead to Emily VanCamp’s exit from the show.

9pm – Our Kind of People

NBC

8pm – The Voice

9pm – La Brea – I will give the show another chance. Here is my review of the first episode.

10pm – New Amsterdam – Do they really think we believe the two main characters are leaving?

Various Non-Streaming Options

Food Network has a new Beat Bobby Flay at 9 and Dinner: Impossible at 10.

HGTV has a new Good Bones at 8 and the premiere of The Nate & Jeremiah Home Project at 9.

FX has a new episode of Impeachment at 10.

The AL Wild Card game between the Yankees and the Red Sox is on ESPN at 8. Can they both lose?

Tater’s Picks

I watch a lot of these shows. I will watch The Resident as close to live as possible until they finally tell me how Emily VanCamp is leaving the show.

We watched the three-part FBI crossover that introduced the newest show. I still think the original is the best. International is decent. Most Wanted is terrible.

I will eventually watch Stargirl and Supergirl when my daughter is home.

I still like New Amsterdam, but I’m tired of the focus on the relationships instead of the hospital this season.

I need my wife to watch the first episode of La Brea so we can watch episode two to decide if it is so bad it’s good or just plain bad.

  1. New Amsterdam….I hate the focus on the relationship. It takes away from max being max, and I think he’s a better character without a relationship. And I hate Blumes relationship too. It’s so boring.

  2. I haven’t watched the first episode of La Brea that I recorded, so I’ll go ahead and record the second. Then I’ll watch them both. Maybe it’ll be so bad it’s good?
