What’s Good in Tater Town 9/5/21

This was my week back from vacation. My week back to an empty nest. My week of a couple of days home alone with my wife back at the office. It was a big change. Was there good? Let’s find out.

  1. Both of my kids are back to normal in-person classes at college.
  2. I managed to balance work around the house and rest on my two days home alone.
  3. Free coffee at Dunkin on Monday.
  4. Free hoagie at Wawa on Tuesday.
  5. The remnants of Ida generally spared us. We got 2-3 inches of rain, but the tornado in our county was 20 miles south of us.
  6. Very nice weather post-Ida. Windows open at night and time reading on the deck. I’ve missed that.
  7. Free donuts at Dunkin and Krispy Kreme on Friday.
  8. Kentucky football on TV yesterday afternoon and it was a win.
  9. Kentucky finally has a QB who can throw the ball downfield.
  10. I’ve accepted my fate of waking up way early with the dog and watched a movie this morning while the world was quiet.

Not a bad week. I hope yours was a good one.

  1. I agree. That wasn’t a bad week. Mine? No Internet, phone, or cell service for half the week, followed by a couple more days of flakey Internet. It was fixed completely on Saturday.

      1. I had to cancel Netflix for a minute because of a virus. Had to pinch pennies. But I miss Netflix. I’ve got prime but Netflix is, to me, HBO back in the day. It’s easy to indulge.
