Laptop Woes

I use a very old laptop when I write. It was my daughter’s before she upgraded for college. When I started working from home I started using it for work. It was old and clunky, but it worked. I could do what I needed to do.

Part of the screen was messed up. There was a small black streak on the display. That streak is bigger now and sometimes I can’t see what I am typing. There is a second one starting. I continue using it to write.

Today, I started to log in and nothing happened when I tried to type in the password. Attempting to restart it and try again resulted in the laptop not restarting at all. As of now it is still dead.

I really hope this resolves and when I try it later today it is all good. I can’t imagine spending money for a laptop do do something that doesn’t pay. I guess I need to get better at posting from my iPad.

On the bright side, I didn’t have to think of a substantial topic for today.

  1. It may be time to bite the bullet and get a new laptop. I like to do things on my laptop rather than my iPad or iPhone. I find so many of the mobile-adapted apps annoying and limiting. Maybe I’m just old and set in my ways, but I don’t think so.
