This post is not about the movie Groundhog Day.
This post is not about me reliving the same day over and over even though it feels that way sometimes.
No. This post is about a groundhog.
A dead groundhog.
I wrote before about birds and how I found a dead one in my driveway.
This weekend we came back from a walk to find a dried, dead frog right in front of our garage door.
This morning I had to dispose of a groundhog that I found dead in my front yard.
Have animals decided my yard is the place to go to die?
Is someone putting dead animals in my yard?
Whatever the reason I would like it to stop now.
My mental state is not great at the moment. The last thing I need is to find more dead things in my yard.
Now I go mow in extreme heat, go to the UPS Store, and go to the library and somehow will feel like I have not done anything productive with my time.
How is Monday still a bad thing when all my days are the same?
I feel you…hopefully no more dead animals for you. It is a bad way to start any day, much less a Monday.

“How is Monday still a bad thing when all my days are the same?” – that made me laugh. Perhaps our conditioned feelings to hate Mondays (old habits) die hard? I’m sorry to hear about the dead hog. I hope your week gets better 🙏

I think that’s probably it

“Have animals decided my yard is the place to go to die?” Sounds ominous. Let’s hope not. I think it’s just a string of coincidental things. Coincidences suck sometimes.

I’m sure it is all coincidence but the King fan in me always sees the ominous

You need a good book, a light beverage and headphones….

I would probably be curious if anyone was feeding my lawn behind my back. We had to have an oak tree taken down. There was a neighbor who had me thinking someone had poisoned the tree as he told us all these outlandish stories of his neighbor poisoning his tree. Whatever you do, don’t tell the neighbors or confide. A tall light beverage and a book sounds lovely.

I don’t talk to my neighbors…

That’s odd but probably a coincidence. If it’s hot, animals might be suffering…

It has been hot here, but not unusually hot

I wonder if one of your neighbors has put out poison? That happened to us recently. A few critters died in our yard.
