Cattle Drive: A Quick Trip Update

On our drive yesterday we had to divert from I-64 around Huntington, West Virginia when a sign alerted us that the road was closed ahead. We used Google Maps to divert through town and pick up the interstate past the closure.

My wife was driving so I went to Twitter to see if I could get details on the incident. I found a post on West Virginia 511 about it and there was a picture. I had a fleeting thought that it seemed like there was a cow in the picture but then thought it was probably something else that when blurry looked like an animal.

Today, I read the Washington Post and there was a blurb about the accident. A cattle truck overturned and there were cattle loose on the highway. It was a cow in the picture.

We were delayed due to a roundup of loose cattle on the highway.
