What’s Good in Tater Town 5/17/20

Another week in lockdown. This was the worst week for me mentally. I definitely hit a wall. Let’s see what was good.

  1. We are all still healthy and employed.
  2. My daughter only has one more final and she no longer has to try to do school during a lockdown.
  3. Surprise Krispy Kreme delivery from a friend.
  4. Plenty of nice weather days so plenty of deck time and walks with the dog.
  5. The state of Maryland took a very slow step toward reopening.
  6. I was kind to myself and asked for Friday off since I had hit a wall mentally.
  7. I spent Friday doing as little thinking as possible.
  8. It was our anniversary yesterday and we have made it through two months of being home together 24/7 without killing each other.

That’s it for this week. Tune in next week when the list will be very similar.

During this time I’ve really struggled mentally, so you are not alone in the way that you feel. Take care and stay safe.

I’m sure a lot of people feel the same. I hope you are being kind to yourself and staying safe.

Several Maryland colleges have announced the same and they announced the Preakness will run in October. I’m hopeful…
