Fall TV Starts Tonight!

Due to being on the road a good portion of the day, my post about what’s on TV is a bit delayed. It is, however, in time for you to read before the shows start tonight. As always, I will continue these posts until all of the shows have premiered. Here’s tonight’s list:

ABC: Dancing With the Has Beens at 8 and Match Game at 10. The only reason I would consider watching the dance show is if they could guarantee that someone would try to attack a contestant each week. Match Game is entertaining, but not something I feel the need to watch regularly.

CBS: Big Bang Theory at 8, Kevin Can Wait at 8:30 and The Case of Jon Benet Ramsey at 9. I am one of the few people I know who does not like Big Bang. I watched it for a little bit, but got tired of it quickly. I will admit that I am a fan of Kevin James and I like sitcoms, so I will watch the premiere tonight. Normally, I’m at work on Monday night, so this might be the only episode I ever watch. I am intrigued by the Jon Benet Ramsey show, but I’m not sure I will commit the time to watch it.

FOX: Gotham at 8, Lucifer at 9. I watched Gotham for a couple of seasons, but decided last year that I had no desire to continue. No particular reason. I just never felt compelled to watch the episodes I had recorded. Lucifer is one of our favorite shows. I was surprised by how much I enjoy it. I really expected it to be much worse. You should watch. You won’t be disappointed.

NBC: The Voice at 8, The Good Place at 10. The Voice is another show I used to watch, but stopped. In this case it was the time commitment. It’s on way  too much. Ain’t nobody got time for that. The addition of Alicia Keys and Miley Cyrus is interesting, but not enough for me to watch again. I think The Good Place looks interesting, but I’m not sure how the premise can last more than a season. I have seen really good reviews and really bad reviews of the show. I will report back once I get around to watching it.

CW: No new shows until October

Cable: All I can find of interest is Monday Night Football and the  finale of Major Crimes, a show I have never watched.

What I will watch: Kevin Can Wait, Lucifer and The Good Place.
