What’s on TV Tonight, September 21, 2015

It’s here! The new TV season starts tonight and once again I’ve read the Post TV page so you don’t have to. Here’s what is on tonight along with what I plan to watch.

ABC: Dancing With the Stars for two hours followed by the season premiere of Castle

FOX: season premiere of Gotham, series premiere of Minority Report

CBS: Big Bang Theory, Life in Pieces, Scorpion, NCIS: Los Angeles all season premieres, series premiere for Life in Pieces

NBC: The Voice for two hours followed by the series premiere of Blindspot

CW: Penn and Teller: Fool Us, repeat of Whose Line, Significant Mother

Notable on cable:

ABC Family: Switched at Birth, Chasing Life

MTV: Awkward, Faking it

ESPN: football

I work on Monday night, so I won’t watch anything live. I will DVR Gotham and Life in Pieces. My wife will be watching Scorpion when I get home. I don’t watch it. Blindspot is getting mixed reviews and I don’t feel like I need to watch another show or movie where te main character has amnesia. I have no interest in Minority Report. If I watch a show based on a movie this season it will be Limitless. I will admit that Life in Pieces was not on my radar at all until I found out my friend from high school was working on it.

A short rant: the Post reviewer is upset that Veep won a bunch of Emmy’s when it’s already won a bunch of Emmy’s. He didn’t say they didn’t deserve to win. He just said they didn’t “need” more Emmy’s. Personally, I think if someone deserves to win an award for their work they should win an award for their work no matter how many times they have won in the past. Why punish someone who is consistently good just so someone else can feel better. Give awards based on merit, not fairness.
